First Things First!

Before I start, I would like to tell you a little about myself.

Firstly, I'm writing this blog for myself rather than an audience because I need a new place to share my opinions. If an audience does grow from here, I guess it would be a bonus.

Secondly, I'm really interested in making my own short films and Film Studies is what I'll hopefully be studying in September 2015!

I have posted two films on to my YouTube channel which I am so proud of. The first "Geography!" was a project to promote the Geography course at college and was a lot of fun to film with my class. It gave me a lot of confidence to express my interest in film making.

My other film "Soul Space" which I made in July is part of my Media Studies coursework. It was one that I am very pleased with because it was edited with the BBC and I got to record a voice over which was a new experience.

I also made another film in 2012 which was part of a project for my youth group when we went on a residential trip.

I've been thinking hard about starting a blog and have done it a few times but then either stopped posting or deleted the whole thing! I don't want it to be anonymous, I've decided, because I know that people will find it and I don't want it to be incredibly personal. (If it's so personal, why post it online, right?)

After reading Girl Online by Zoe Sugg (Zoella) I realized that anyone can be a successful blogger. I loved Zoe's book so much and I am really proud of what she has achieved. I look up to her like thousands of other young people do, not only because she is beautiful, talented and successful but also because she reminds me so much of one of my best friends when I was growing up. They are really similar, both in personality and appearance. Watching Zoe's videos always reminds me of my friend and kind of keeps our friendship going as I don't see her as often as I'd like to anymore.

I guess that's it for my first post. I'm planning to post once a week and even add some photographs once in a while.

That's it for now,
